Harietta Limited Edition Scarf & Prints

My painting image “Harietta” is releasing as a big, beautiful scarf! Only 50 pieces of these gorgeous girls were created, and they’re made of a super soft semi-sheer poly georgette fabric.

Each scarf measures 57×57″, and can be hand-washed and hung to dry, to keep them as fresh as a spring daisy! I’ll be releasing them at 9AM PST here, alongside prints of Harietta in 11×14″ and 16×20″ sizes.

 Original Drawings

Two new delightfully spring-y original framed graphite drawings release tomorrow! “Bunny-fu” (above) and “Tres Chique” are 5×7″ graphite and colored pencil drawings that will each be available Friday the 14th at 9AM PST here.

Vintage Plates

A collection of one-of-a-kind printed vintage plates releases tomorrow, April 14th on The Camilla Store on Etsy! I’ve carefully chosen each of these images to match the authentic vintage plate designs, in celebration of this weekend!

Since these are vintage plates, each one is truly one-of-a-kind, and can’t be reproduced exactly! They will go live at 9AM PST, and often find homes quickly, so check early at 9AM PST release on Etsy here!

One-Of Totes

I have a special surprise for you! I’ve made one-of totebag designs in honor of my Good Friday release at 9am tomorrow on Etsy here! Each of these 16×16″ bags is double-sided and machine washable, and has a zipper! There’s 1 of each that will release tomorrow on Etsy, so grab your favorite fast!

Hard Enamel Pins

Long weekends are amazing for sleeping in, am I right? Gudetama knows! He’s the master of sleeping in. 😉 I’ve got brand new 1.5″ “Sunny Side Up” hard enamel pins releasing on The Camilla Store on Etsy at 9am tomorrow! The rainbow bacon even has glitter in it, delicious!

And what’s this! One lucky collector will be able to score this special Gudetama one-of framed 5×7″ print! This little cutie will go live at 9AM PST here on April 14.

Stickers

New stickers are hopping in to The Camilla Store on Etsy starting tomorrow at 9am PST! These rainbowrific “Rainbuns” stickers are sure to brighten your day! And as a special treat, 20 Etsy orders placed between April 14-17 will be randomly selected to receive a special giant sized Rainbuns sticker!

Grazie Rome and Dorothy Circus Gallery!

I’m back home in Canada now after an amazing trip and opening reception at Dorothy Circus Gallery in Rome! Italy, you slay me with your sheer unrivaled beauty, and all your amain pizza and gelato.

This trip was such an amazing experience that brought me back to my Italian roots. I spent a lot of time with my family getting back in touch with my Italian side. I adore the culture and the language so I cant’ tell you how fun it was to speak it 24/7 during my trip! It’s always great to stay in touch with your culture.

I explored a lot of the cities art. Spent hours studying various masterpieces until my eyes started swirling. Its going to be really fun to incorporate what I saw and was inspired by into my art now.

A big and humungous thank you to the ladies of Dorothy Circus. They were so lovely and wonderful. The show is spectacular and the opening was unbelievable. Thank you to the fans and supporters who came by. I was pretty excited to meet Paolo and see Alessia Lannetti at the opening. I was surrounded by lovely people and amazingly talented artists.
I have so much to share and learn and give thanks to this trip!
I hope that my artwork can bring as much joy to Rome as Rome brought to me. If anyone would like to contact the gallery to enquire about making one of my paintings all their own to love and cherish please contact sales@dorothycircusgallery.com.
Big hugs Roma I will miss you!

Timed Release Prints to Honor International Womens Day

This International Women’s Day I’m celebrating by baring it all! I’m making my painting “Kitty Titties” available as an 11×17” signed print, and “Nips” is releasing for the very first time as a 12×12″ limited edition timed release print! From 12AM PST (Midnight) March 8th to 12PM March 10th you can collect these beauties in celebration of International Women’s Day from my eStore here!

If you’ve been following my art for any amount of time, whether it’s been a week, or for years, I hope you’ve noticed by now that I never set out to offend or put anyone down with my artwork. Life should be fun! We should be able to share art, laughter, and love. And these are the moments that brought “Kitty Titties” into the world via my paintbrush. She is a painting I made to keep in mind that when the world tries to come down on you- about your gender, or what or how you create, or who you are, you can push back and do it with a smile!

“Nips” is a painting I created in 2013 (for my “Spilled Milk” exhibition collection!), in response to years of pressure and criticism I received for depicting the nude female body in my artwork. “Nips” was my way of saying that being offended by painted breasts is as ridiculous as breasts lactating rainbows. North America often misconstrues nudity for sexuality, a belief I do not share. I grew up surrounded by European art culture through my Italian heritage and learned to appreciate how beautiful life and the human form can be whether that’s male and female, we are equal! So I’m sharing my contribution to Women’s Day as not just a female artist, or as a woman, but as a person who truly believes we must stand together in support of each other to reach equality and harmony. It’s time to free the nipple people, appreciate art for arts sake and see women and men as equals!

I hope you love these vibrant rainbow beauties as much as I loved painting them, and join me in support of Women’s Day! You can pick up one, or both, on my eStore here from March 8-10.  I’ll be donating a portion of the proceeds of “Nips” prints sold to support both the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and Breast Cancer Research Foundation. After the order period closes I’ll print and sign them, so keep an eye open for shipping updates a few weeks after the timed release closes!

Paintings in Progress for Submerged Exhibition Dorothy Circus Gallery

Camilla has been a creative powderkeg for her upcoming “Submerged” exhibition! The show opens March 31th at Dorothy Circus Gallery in Rome, Italy. Here’s a look at what Camilla has been working on.

Some completed artworks have already been revealed! Camilla’s piece “Ajna” is an oil on wood panel painting measuring 12×12″.

Ajna and sister pieces from “Submerged” are Camilla’s first forays into full monochrome painting elements. Camilla shares some thoughts and feelings behind Ajna’s creation:
This painting is all about human perception and our role in nature. I believe we are as much as part of the earth as all the other fauna and animals, yet we don’t always see it. We need to open our third eye and truly appreciate what we are a part of and how we affect the planet.  The colors of her eyes are secondary colors because we tend to put the earth’s life second to our needs.  I believe human beings are amazing and capable of so much. Our greatest assets are compassion and intelligence which is why I wanted to show so much emotion in her. Earth is a beautiful world that is rich in color and life that should be treasured!

“Capuchina” joins the collection for Camilla’s “Submerged” exhibition! Capuchina is an 8×10″ oil on wood panel painting. It’s been some time since Camilla incorporated painting skulls into the composition of her artworks! Long time Camilla fans may remember skulls appearing in Camilla’s “Vain Remains” collection of 2009.
