Coloring Contest and Designer Con

It’s time for a coloring contest! It’s been too long since my last one, so I’m opening the floor to something fun and creative for all you lovelies! Download and print off, or color digitally, one of my two new graphite drawings “Queen Bee” or “Spirited”. Show me your colored picture by posting a scan or photo on Instagram or Facebook with the hashtags #camillacoloringcontest #camilladerrico If you tag me I’ll be able to see them faster! Make sure your account is set to public so I can find them! On November 18th 11:59pm PST the contest will close and then I’ll pick 2 winners, and send each of them an original drawing!

Both of these lovely original framed 5×7″ graphite drawings are coming with me to my DesignerCon booth 1701 next weekend, Nov 11-12 at the Pasadena convention center! I’ll have loads of new goodies including original petite bee paintings, graphite drawings, custom painted toys, one of a kind jewelry, plates, handbags, apparel, totes, new convention exclusives and more! You can find me at booth 1701 here,

For all you who are like me and channel your inner vintage-loving-granny, I’m bringing one of a kind printed vintage plates! Take a look at these sweet treats I’ll have at my booth 1701

I’ll let the rest of them be a surprise! But each one is one-of-a-kind, so be sure to visit me early to pick your favorite. I’m also making hand-painted custom vinyl toys and petite bee paintings! Scope these babies out,

I’m also releasing a DCon exclusive hand embellished limited edition fine art print, and matching limited edition enamel pin! These Pinky bee prints are going to come hand signed and numbered in an edition of 25pcs, and I’ve embellished them with glitter. My DCon exclusive limited edition hard enamel bee pins are glow-in-the-dark, AND they have glitter in them too! What a perfect pair!

I’ll see you at the convention to pick up these fuzzy wuzzies, or, if you’re one of my Patreon First Dibs rewards members, you’ll get a chance to add one to your collection before the convention! If you want to get First Dibs on special releases like these, you can sign up here.

I’m also bringing some one-of tote bags, new one-of and small run purses and apparel from my Liveheroes collection to DCon booth 1701! Come check them our early in the show, because with goodies this limited they find new homes fast!

There will be prints and books at my booth 1701 too! I’ll have new prints like my “Pink Lemonade” and “The Last Unicorn”, but I’m only bringing a handful, so don’t miss out on your chance to add them to your collection! I’ll be signing prints and books all weekend, and if you’d like your artbook or copy of Tanpopo with an original sketch inside, ask me about it at the show!

NYCC Exclusives

I’m bringing new and fabulous exclusives to my NYCC booth 683! Here’s a look at my NYCC exclusive print release, “Joella”. I made a limited edition of 25pcs only, signed & numbered on fine art paper, and hand-embellished each one to make them extra special! I’ll have them at my booth683 at the show, and if any remain, my First Dibs Patrons will get a chance at any that might remain. I’m also bringing a big assortment of my official Liveheroes clothing collection to NYCC booth 683! I’ll have tshirts, sweatshirts, and handbags. Each piece is handmade with a lot of time and love put into them, so I’ll only have 1-2 pieces of each design. Can’t make it to the show? Fear not! You can order from Liveheroes online here.

Original Drawings

I’ve been sketching up a storm in preparation for NYCC! Come by my booth 683 for new framed 5×7″ graphite drawings- each one is one-of-a-kind! They’re an awesome way to take an original artwork home and make your NYCC trip extra special!

I’m bringing books to my NYCC booth683! Come find a copy of Tanpopo 1 or 2, or an artbook, and I’ll sign it for you! I’ll be taking some sketches in books during the show, so don’t be shy to ask about a sketch inside your new book!

June Bug Release is Live

I’m so excited, and I just can’t hide it! (Did you sing that part in your head too? 😉 ) My June Bug release is now live on Etsy here! I have new original artwork, rare and signed prints, handmade jewelry, one-of apparel, and more. Lots of these goodies have only 1 available, so check my Etsy here before they disappear!

I have some artist proofs that are now on Etsy, but in very limited quantities! Artist Proofs are the artists personal closed edition. Sometimes they’re given to friends or family, or saved for special occasions! Check out my new Artist Proof goodies here.

I’ve got rare prints, embellished, signed and unsigned prints that are now live! Some of these have never been available for sale online before, or were from convention events, so this is a great chance to pick up a new special treasure! Check out the prints here.

I have hand-made jewelry live on Etsy, alongside one-of-a-kind original artworks. These special goodies tend to find new homes really fast, so if there’s something you want to collect that only has 1 piece in stock, try checking out with it first before picking up other less-limited goodies. If you place multiple orders, my Etsy coordinator Asami can help you combine them after. And remember, putting items in the shopping cart doesn’t reserve them, so try and check out with your limited goodies soon! Check out my June Bug releases here.

Handmade Jewelry

As promised, here’s a little preview of the new merchandise for the release party!  Today’s featured merch is the new handmade jewelry from an Australian artisan Laya Bosman, who goes under the desigern label Trinket.  These are really special, each one made with loving care by hand, and make perfect gifts for girlfriends, daughters, sisters, moms and also yourself!

A playful & mesmerising range of handmade jewellery, inspired by the enchanted world of Camilla d’Errico. After seeing her first painting by Camilla in 2007, Australian jewellery artist Laya Bosman was completely captivated, and in a moment of inspiration created a simple silver ring featuring one of Camilla’s artworks. The result was so lovely she decided to reach across the seas and contact Camilla herself, which sparked a close collaboration and long journey towards the first full range of custom designed, handmade jewellery to feature Camilla’s artwork.

The three designs of the FIRST SERIES: WOOD are all available on the ONLINE STORE and cost $70.

Midnight in the Forest

Intricately detailed pendants made from laser-cut wood, in three unique and delicate designs. Hung from a silver chain, each holds one of the three chosen paintings coated with transparent resin.

Pendant Dimensions: Varies, 2-4cm approx
Chain Length: approx 40cm
Materials: Wood, Resin, Paper, Metal Chain

For those who would like to gift something even more special, you can custom order sterling silver and 22-carat gold pendants and rings from Laya by emailing her.  This jewelry is stunning, handcrafted and extra special.  We don’t carry it online because of the time it takes Laya to make it, and for sizing reasons for rings.  These are some examples. Aren’t they beautiful!?

Alchemist’s Muse

Designed drawing inspiration from myth and magic, this range is the centerpiece of the series. Pendants and rings are carved from wax, then cast using molten metal into solid Sterling Silver and if desired, coated in 22ct gold. Wide-eyed beauties peer out from amongst the twists and curves of the metal’s form, echoing the intricate mysteries of nature and whispering of the ancient secrets she holds..

Metal_RingSilverPrices for the metal jewelry vary and are set by the artisan.

Pendant Dimensions: approx 8 cm wide and 10 cm long
Chain Length: Total diameter including pendant is approx 40cm

Kuro Glass Charms Have Landed

I am happy to announce that the little glass charms of Kuro are here and ready to order! This collaboration with local British Columbian artisan Neacol Miller has been so much fun … seeing these little guys come to life has brought me squeals of enjoyment and I know it’ll be the same for anyone who gets their own!

Kuro prototype 2 copy

Kuro charms are limited edition of 250.  Each Kuro comes in his own black jewelry box, 18″ silver plated chain, cell phone charm strap and a signed certificate of authenticity printed on full color, heavy gloss stock paper.  Every single Kuro made is slightly unique, since they are individually hand crafted and may look different from the photos. You can order your own from my online store right now.

Many Kuros

Kuro charms will make their official retail debut at The Ayden Gallery on Saturday February 13th, during the gallery show, 5, which I am a part of!  I will also be at the show, since Ken knows how to put on a good party at The Ayden and we’re all revved up by Olympics fever.

Kuro Cell Charm

Glass charm Kuro is possible thanks to Neacol and her husband Stanley, Miller. They own Bling Squared Wearable Glass Sculptures and work out of Salt Spring Island. This is their website and they make some of the most adorable little glass charms you’ll ever see!  You can see and buy more of their creations here.  They are a husband and wife team and their inspiration comes from obsessions with Japanese animation, comic books, fashion, pop culture and their daughter. Kind of like me, except without the daughter ~_n!
