Some one-of handmade jewelry is coming too! Perfect to treat yo’self, or someone special in your life!

I’ve got other goodies coming for my Treat Yo Self release Feb 3 too! There’s going to be signed prints and some special, limited and rare prints too!

Along with stickers, new fuzzy bee valentines card sets with Metallic embellishments, fun romantic and love themed postcard set, and more surprises!

And if you order during my Treat Yo Self release, or during the month of February from Etsy, your order will get fun bonuses like new stickers and Tanpopo themed Valentines cards! I just want to share the love and say Thank You for your support, and hope you find something fun to Treat Yo Self Feb 3 at 9AM PST on Etsy here!

Femina & Fauna Book

FEMINA & FAUNA: THE ART OF CAMILLA D’ERRICO is now on the Camilla d’Errico online store!

I didn’t have to wait that long, but it still felt like a long time. Finally, my art books are on my online store. **Please note these are NOT signed.

I also have more copies of my solo show book, Il Codice d’Errico! This book catalogs all the paintings from the show in Rome 2010, plus some past ones, and documents the process with interviews and information and insights.

Printed in Italy and limited edition. These also are unsigned.

Books, Magazines and Printed Matter

A whole post dedicated to the fine art of publishing and a whole smack of items to tell you about!

Let’s start with the announcement from SPECTRUM FANTASTIC ART, who published their list of artists selected for Spectrum 17.  And I’m in it! The Spectrum Compendium is one of the most respected and collected so I’m honored and excited about it. I’m also curious, because I applied to different categories.  Love surprises … !!

The next publication that I’ve been selected for, is from Spain’s Monsa Publishing and their book called SWEET ILLUSTRATION.  The artists were selected by Eva Minguet, who had put together the ‘Ultimate Illustration’ book last year.  The book is 192 pages, with art from some women who I admire and am proud to show with: Julie West, Mijne Shatje, Adolie Day, Kukula, and more.

Now, we jump over to Asia … man does this feel like a world tour … to tell you about Taiwan’s Dpi Magazine ‘The Variation of Comic Art and Animation’  special edition. I remember seeing Dpi at the Taipei Toy Festival in 2008 and thinking how I wanted to be part of their magazine. They are so well respected and followed in Asia. And here I am .. wow!

Back to North America and onto products! Woo!  This is the post card set with Last Gasp Books, the great San Francisco company (btw happy 40th Anniversary!).  The sample sets have arrived and will soon be available for purchase.   For more information about the set, click HERE (lots of pretty pictures on that link!).   There are 30 post cards in a nifty fold-out tray. The packaging is beautiful and I’m proud to say the design was created in collaboration with  Timberkame‘.

Lastly, with a hop back to Europe, this time to France, where I’ve got a whole bunch of new and beautiful fans (Je vous aime!!!!) to tell you about some posters available through BD Posters.  This is a French comics publisher who specializes in posters by comic artists. They have a selection of 8 posters, ranging from BURN, Nightmares & Fairytales, to Tanpopo and even The Fallen.

Whew! That was quite the tour, thanks for coming with me 🙂  and you can bet that as soon as the postcards are available, I’ll be back with an update.

2010 HERE WE COME!

Hi! Did everyone have a great Christmas?!  And did you celebrate the New Year with friends galore?!  Taking a short break to enjoy friends and family was just what I needed!

Let me tell you what the general plan is for 2010, because it is already jam-packed with comics, paintings, toys, conventions, and goodies.  We’ve changed the EVENTS CALENDAR on the website. You can now find it under the BLOG on the left as its own category.  Bookmark this site so you always know what’s coming up!  All the event info, and more is on the Fanpage too.

PAINTINGS – This year I’ve got a solo show in Rome, which opens June 5th.  The gallery is called Mondo Bizzarro and I’m going to be at the opening.  I’ll be painting an entire collection of Helmetgirls.  Between now and then there are a few other shows going on: the first is the HE MAN show at Gallery 1988 LA. This one opens on January 8th. I wish I could be there!  I’ve posted the work in progress shots here.  I’ve also got a few pieces for a special show at the Ayden Gallery in Vancouver, that opens February 13th, right as the Olympics take over the city.  The show is an all-Canadian, all-BC group with me, Peter Taylor, Ben Tour and Lani Imre.  I’m going to explore nature and culture a little more in depth with these paintings.

HeMan

COMICS – Sky Pirates finishes with issue 5 in January. The series has been grueling to draw, but also fun. I’ve poured my heart and soul into it, and you can tell by the detail in the images. 2010 will be the year of Tanpopo 3 & 4, as well as some cover art coming for Elephantmen, Cloudscape, and of course, Little Red Riding Hood for Fractured Fables (Silverline).  I’m also working on a top secret graphic novel project that I hope to soon tell the world about!

CONVENTIONS: This year you’ll see me, Nancy and my merchandise all over the countries (Canada/US)! We’re hitting 15 conventions, including San Diego Comic Con with a booth in the dealer’s room! Oh yes, moving UP.  We’ve got a ton of great stuff coming, including the new line of clothing, a new postcard set from Last Gasp, new art cards and new prints, as well as something truly special – Jewelry! Stay tuned for more!

I’m looking forward to 2010, and all that it will bring. I especially look forward to meeting everyone that’s out there, and who supports me in everything I do.

All the best to you for 2010. It’s gonna be epic ^_^
