Thank You Roma Cartoon Festival!

Thank you to everyone who visited me at Roma Cartoon Festival last weekend! And to the amazing organizers who all worked so hard (and even through the crazy heat wave!) to make the festival fun for everyone!

I had my fangirl moment meeting Masami Suda, illustrator for Fist of the North Star and much more! Childhood idol right there, so it was awesome getting to say Hello in person!

I’ve had some adventures while I’m back in Rome too, my cousin is a great travel companion! Between the two of us (mostly me) we’ve eaten so much amazing pasta haha. ūüėČ

It’s been a blast and I’m always happy to visit Dorothy Circus Gallery while I’m in town. My original paintings from my Submerged show are still on display so if you can make it to Rome to see them, definitely go!

Roma Cartoon Festival Is On June 23-25

It’s finally here! Roma Cartoon Festival is on and I’m all set up at Guido Reni. I have artbooks, prints, tote bags, one of a kind scarves, hand made jewelry and more! I’ve decorated my exhibition room to be a rainbow wonderland and I hope you get the chance to visit me here!

Important Update:

My Live Painting has been moved to Saturday at 4pm on the Main Stage. I’ve brought a new painting-in-process with me so come visit and watch me work on it in person!

Hello Rome! Roma Cartoon Festival June 23-25

It’s so good to be back in Rome! I’ve landed and am getting ready for Roma Cartoon Festival June 23-25 at Guido Reni!

Rome is one of those cities of the world that I fall head-over-heels in food-love for. The pizza and gelato are amazing! I don’t think I could ever get tired of them, even if I had them every day.

Since Rome is such an old city, and very compact, a lot of people ride motorbikes or vespas. Unleashing my inner road warrior!

I’m so happy to be visiting Dorothy Circus Gallery again where my “Submerged” solo exhibition painting are on display and some are available! If you haven’t seen them yet or are interested in originals you can email sales@dorothycircusgallery.com

I love running around such a romantic and enchanting city, and then take a break for some drawing! I’m working on original graphite drawings I’ll bring to Roma Cartoon Festival June 23-25. I’ll have a whole exhibition room with my art, prints, apparel and special goodies, so if you can make it to Rome please come visit me!

Roma Cartoon Festival is held in the Guido Reni district, and will be open from 10am – 8pm June 23- 24 and 25. It’s held in the same building as my solo exhibition “Submerged” collection is on display through Dorothy Circus Gallery, so definitely go check out my original paintings too!

Saturday June 24 – Signing 4-5pm

Sunday June 25 – Signing 4-5pm

Roma Festival is preparing posters and thirts with my artwork, “Where The Wild Things Squirm” on them! Posters will be available for my signing, and you’ll be able to purchase a tshirt from the event as a momento of your visit!

I’ll be bringing prints, books, apparel and goodies to Roma Festival! Come visit me in my guest artist exhibition room and check out the special things I have for Roma Festival. I’ll be bringing prints of “La Madre”, “Where The Wild Things Squirm”, “Hello My Kittyland”, “Strawberry Whispers” and more!

I’ll have a limited number of copies of my “Rainbow Children” artbook and a handful of Helmetgirls artbooks at Roma Festival! These can be hard for fans in Europe to find, and especially rare to find a signed copy, so come pick yours up!

New Jewelry

I’m so excited to share my new handmade jewelry! I’ve made these necklace pendants with my art in them, each one paired very carefully to match and compliment the frames, and will have them at Roma festival June 23-25. If you’d like to see me make more for my Etsy, let me know on social media!

One-Of Totes

I’m bringing a handful of Tote Bags and one-of-a-kind scarves to Roma Festival! I’ll only have one piece of each design, so if you see one you fall in love with, snap it up! I’ll also have an extremely limited selection of my new Live Heroes collection apparel, but only a handful of pieces will be available, so be sure to come visit me early for the most selection!

Grazie Rome and Dorothy Circus Gallery!

I’m back home in Canada now after an amazing trip and opening reception at Dorothy Circus Gallery in Rome! Italy, you slay me with your sheer unrivaled beauty, and all your amain pizza and gelato.

This trip was such an amazing experience that brought me back to my Italian roots. I spent a lot of time with my family getting back in touch with my Italian side. I adore the culture and the language so I cant’ tell you how fun it was to speak it 24/7 during my trip! It’s always great to stay in touch with your culture.

I explored a lot of the cities art. Spent hours studying various masterpieces until my eyes started swirling. Its going to be really fun to incorporate what I saw and was inspired by into my art now.

A big and humungous thank you to the ladies of Dorothy Circus. They were so lovely and wonderful. The show is spectacular and the opening was unbelievable. Thank you to the fans and supporters who came by. I was pretty excited to meet Paolo and see Alessia Lannetti at the opening. I was surrounded by lovely people and amazingly talented artists.
I have so much to share and learn and give thanks to this trip!
I hope that my artwork can bring as much joy to Rome as Rome brought to me. If anyone would like to contact the gallery to enquire about making one of my paintings all their own to love and cherish please contact sales@dorothycircusgallery.com.
Big hugs Roma I will miss you!

This weekend is an art weekend!  Three shows are going down all over the map!

I’m super enthused to be part of Glenn Barr’s show, Lyric. All the pieces are inspired by music and mine is called Broken, inspired by Gorillaz and their newest album Plastic Beach.

The next show is a last-minute but very important fundraiser put on the Sweet Streets, called #PrayforJapan and it takes place at JapanLA. I’m donating a Canadian Tiger and a Zebramilk Artist Proof from the limited edition series.

With all this Helmetgirls’ goodness, I’m stoked to get started on the graphic novel. Yes indeed! Look out for Issue #0 before 2010 is out. But there’s so much more exciting goodness to go along with that news, and I’ll share that very soon.¬† For now, I’d like to thank everyone who helped make the Helmetgirls’ Codice show a success, and for supporting me in everything I do, every day. You’ve given me even more inspiration to push on, and tread this path.

Thank You For a Beautiful Vernissage

I’m home again, after some travel hassles with the BA strike and shifting flights! It feels good to be here, but strange at the same time because I was gone for so long and had kinda gotten used to being in Europe.¬† I’ll be posting pics from the touring soon, but for now I wanted to share images from the opening night of “Il Codice d’Errico”.
