Book Camp at the Vancouver Public Library

All this week Camilla will be teaching a morning workshop for children 11-13 about how to draw and create their own manga at the Vancouver Public Library! The five day program is called Writing and Book Camp, and runs from 9:00am to 3:00pm everyday.

Other guests include Nina Matsumoto (Yokaiden, The Simpsons Comics), Hiromi Goto (Chorus of Mushrooms, Half World), Carrie Mac (Jacked, The Gryphon Project) and many more!

Registration for the camp is already full, but we thought you might like to know about the program, and maybe it will inspire you to do something at your own library. Libraries are an incredible resource in your community, and there are lots of ways to get involved – many will help you set up a club for comics, manga, art, whatever your passion!

Vancouver is a great city, and it’s nice to be able to do events likeĀ Portobello West and the upcoming Helmetgirl Cosplay Walk0ff at the University of British Columbia. If you’ve never been, maybe you should visit. Just look how beautiful it is!
