Nutty Buddy

Aren’t squirrels adorable? They are also such great little eco warriors. Squirrels and chipmunks play crucial roles in nature as seed dispersers, helping to regenerate plant species by burying and forgetting nuts and seeds, contributing to forest diversity. Their foraging behaviors also influence the distribution of fungi, aiding in the decomposition process and nutrient cycling within ecosystems. Who knew?! So incredible.

These beautiful beasties are statues from my “Nurtured by Nature” 2023 soloshow installation. Each is made of resin, hand painted white white enamel paint. They are one of a kind and a part of my show history!

My "Nurtured by Nature" solo show's installation vividly depicts the dire consequences of neglecting the planet's well-being, warning of a future where vibrant landscapes are replaced by motionless statues symbolizing the once-beautiful beings that graced our world. The pristine white hue of these statues, reminiscent of ancient Greek sculptures, emphasizes a distant era and the civilizations lost, surrounded by a monochromatic forest representing the starkness following environmental indifference.
