Capuchina was created as part of Camilla’s “Submerged” Solo exhibition at Dorothy Circus Gallery.
Camilla painted this as the passing of the years. The skulls are a year in our lives, each one unique, yet they pass, and become part of the stages of our journey.
Camilla is very interested in the perception of time and how each person experiences life. Everything has a beginning and an end. And what we do with that time defines each of us uniquely.
This artwork exemplifies Camilla’s juxtaposition of Cute and Creepy found through many works in her prolific career, rendering a macabre subject of skulls in a rainbow spectrum.
