Glass Kuro Fox Charm Is Coming Soon

You might have seen a tease of the new Glass Kuro Fox Charm over on Tumblr, but now for some more details! First, some bad news. Everyone expected the charms would be ready by WonderCon, which is why it was up on Facebook. But unfortunately, some issues with shipping have made that impossible. Still, the charms will be available at Emerald City Comicon later this month! On to the details!

The Glass Kuro Fox Charm is based on the devilish form in Tanpopo, but you probably already knew that, right? >_^

Each charm is made of hand-blown glass by Bling Squared, so every piece is unique in its own way. The charms come with a certificate that is numbered and hand-signed as well, and because of the time and craftsmanship that goes into each, they are limited to only 250 pieces. Each charm retails for $30.

In other WonderCon news, the ‘No Ordinary Love’ prototype statue will be on display, and pre-orders can be taken at the show. The statue will be available for pre-order online as well in the near future, and retails for $125. Please know that shipping on this item will be a bit higher because of its delicate nature.

Also, there are only 25 fine art prints of Resurrected Bone Collective available, but a handful will be at the show on a first-come, first-serve basis. There are plans to have any fine art prints left up in the online store as well.

Finally, Emerald City Comicon in Seattle is coming up fast! It’ll be so great to see everyone and we’ll try have some hardcover books of Tanpopo for sale! And remember, there are only five spaces available if you’d like to order a customized, one-of-a-kind original sketch to be picked up at the show. Sketches start at $100 for a single character, and can be more elaborate for higher price points.

Thanks for all of your support! Hope you enjoy the high-quality, limited-edition items that have been coming out this year. It’s sometimes hard to get items before they sellout, like the new clothing line (which has been so successful because of you!), but the idea is for everyone to get something that is personal and lasts for a long time.

If you’d like to pre-order the Glass Kuro Fox Charm, the ‘No Ordinary Love’ statue, a Resurrected Bone Collective fine art print, an original sketch or anything else, please email store@camilladerrico.com and someone should get back to you right away. Thanks again! Hope to see you at one of the conventions this year!

To celebrate the public launch of this fantastic 100+ page collection, we’re hosting a special D.I.Y. Coloring Contest with two different ways to enter! For those of you who want to be a little different, we’ve also posted two special black and white images from the Color Ink Book Vol. 12 – “Crocodile Fisherman” and “The Deer God’s Coma” – that you can color for the second option entry on the Facebook and Deviant Art page, where we’ll be posting entries as they are sent to us.

Good luck to all the contestants! And remember, be original! We want to see what you can do!

New Art Prints On-Sale for a Limited Time

We’ve been talking about it for months, but the time has finally come to open the brand-new online store! Thanks for your patience, everyone. We hope the new process is much easier for everyone, and to celebrate the grand opening we’re having a sale on the mini-prints starting now until Aug. 31st!

Some quick info about how the new online shopping section is set-up. First, we have almost 100 items available with the Artsprojekt, including bags, postcards, magnets, mugs, electronic covers, and more! These products open up to the Zazzle store for purchasing, but are all available in one easy-to-find location.

Next, we have put all of the limited-edition, signed and number Fine Art Prints in one section. They high-end prints are usually gone soon after they become available, and right now we only have the Canadian Tiger fine art print available. If you’re thinking of collecting this piece, you might want to hurry!

Finally, we have our own online store where you can buy items directly from us, like prints, clothing, accessories, Gelaskins, toys, and books.

Okay, now onto the sale! Any two mini-prints that are in-stock can be purchased for $30! To get the discount, simply find the two mini-prints you would like, located in the middle of the page on in the online store, and add them to your cart. (Only unsigned prints for this sale, sorry!) The two prints will originally show up as $20 each, but then you should see a discount at the bottom where the total is displayed.

There are new and old prints available, including the ones below. Some are sold-out at the moment, but these are available at the moment, along with several others:

You will need to set up an account in the online to checkout, but hopefully it’s pretty easy. If you have any questions, feel free to leave them here or on the Facebook page and we’ll do our best to respond to them. Thanks again for all of your support, and please tell us your suggestions for how we can make the new store better for you!

Calgary Comic Con Recap

If you’re thinking, “Wait a minute, it’s Wednesday, where’s the new art?!” Just scroll down a bit to see a photo of a new sketch. ^_^

Thanks so much to the fans that came out to the Calgary Comic Expo last weekend, you guys basically cleaned out the booth! First, congratulations to all the Shuster Award winners; there were several amazing creators who won this year, including Emily Carroll, Fiona Staples, and the team behind “La Fille Invisible” (The Invisible Girl). Please check out these super talented ladies!

If you happen to be a Redditor, you probably saw this image that made the front page:

This clever gentlemen was actually talking to the booth next to ours about airplanes and art, but it’s neat to be seen in the photo that thousands of people enjoyed. Thanks to those Redditors who noted the art in the background and gave credit!

Things were so busy we didn’t get a chance to take a lot of photos, but here are a few, just click on any of them to see a bigger size:

Such great costumes! Don’t forget about the cosplay contest this August!

All of this stuff was gone by Sunday!

“They see me rollin’ . . . “

Here’s a sketch from the show!

Just a couple more bits of news. First, thanks again for participating in the email and Facebook contests we’ve been running; prizes and winners are still being contacted. So, sorry for the delays! There’s been a postal strike in Canada. But, don’t worry, the prizes are on the way!

Second, the last of the $20 prints are still available online, but will be gone very soon. And finally, we’re excited to announce that the first printing of “Femina & Fauna: The Art of Camilla d’Errico” is sold out! Dark Horse still has a preview of the book online, and it looks as though Amazon has less than 20 copies left. Yikes!

Well, that’s all the news for now. Thanks again for being so supportive at CCEE, and on Reddit, and everywhere else. There are lots of fun things planned for July as we get closer to San Diego Comic-Con, so look for more announcements soon!

Black Rabbit Kaleidoscope is a reinterpretation of Richard Adam’s Watership Down. In this gorgeous piece, the colors and mood evoke mystery and emotion.  With a nod to Kehaar, Camilla’s painting, unveiled on March 11th at Gallery 1988 in Venice Beach, CA, was a standout piece in the group show.  Rarely has Camilla painted with purples, and the contrast of purple and yellow with the rainbow fingernails stands out as one of her most elegant and daring pieces.

One thing that will be super fun is the interactive part of the party!  I will be customizing blank t-shirts!  I’m capping this at 20 only otherwise I won’t be able to have fun with everyone >_^.  The price for the custom tees is $50 and you can watch me while I go nuts on the shirts!

Ayden Gallery is a big space with lots of walls and I’m planning on filling as much of them as I can!  How?  Stay tuned … and have a wonderful weekend! Camilla
