I’m sharing some sneak peeks at new original paintings I’m creating for my “L’Odissea Umana” exhibition at Dorothy Circus Gallery’s London location, November 19th. This collection is titled The Human Odyssey, and encapsulates many of my emotions and experiences felt this year.
Painting figures of different backgrounds is a way I want my artwork to share the message we are all beautiful. There will be grayscale figures too, with rainbows accentuating significant imagery.
Collectors interested in original artworks can contact email@example.com for original inquiries. Stay tuned to my blog here and my social @ camilladerrico for more updates!

This is my newest painting, “Jeff”! I was so excited to be included in Spoke Art NYC Gallery Isle of Dogs tribute art show. I knew I had to paint Duke, who is voiced by the incredibly talented Jeff Goldblum. I absolutely loved the We Anderson movie, so that definitely gave me inspiration. The show opens tonight, November 8th for VIP preview at Spoke Art’s NYC location, and opens to the public November 9th-11th. If you’d like to adopt this good boy, email NYC@spoke-art.com
This is my newest painting, “Ebb And Flow”! I’m so in love with how she turned out. I really pushed myself to embrace the overall theme, “Ephemeral”, of Modern Eden Gallery & Beautiful Bizarre Magazine‘s group showing. This lovely lady is a part of the group exhibition opening September 15th at Modern Eden Gallery! You can email original artwork inquiries to firstname.lastname@example.org to give this gal a forever home.
This is my newest oil painting, Rosa! I’ve contributed a brand new original painting to Corey Helford Gallery’s New Romantics group show, curated by Caro and opening July 28th. I’m so excited! I’m a hopeless romantic at heart. My piece is loosely inspired by Oscar Wilde’s story The Nightengale and the Rose. It’s a tale about unrequited love and ultimate sacrifice… all the good stuff! If you’re in the LA Area you can view the original painting the whole exhibition starting July 28, 7-11pm and on display until Sept 1. To inquire collecting my new original painting please email email@example.com
I’m back home in Canada now after an amazing trip and opening reception at Dorothy Circus Gallery in Rome! Italy, you slay me with your sheer unrivaled beauty, and all your amain pizza and gelato.
This trip was such an amazing experience that brought me back to my Italian roots. I spent a lot of time with my family getting back in touch with my Italian side. I adore the culture and the language so I cant’ tell you how fun it was to speak it 24/7 during my trip! It’s always great to stay in touch with your culture.
I explored a lot of the cities art. Spent hours studying various masterpieces until my eyes started swirling. Its going to be really fun to incorporate what I saw and was inspired by into my art now.
A big and humungous thank you to the ladies of Dorothy Circus. They were so lovely and wonderful. The show is spectacular and the opening was unbelievable. Thank you to the fans and supporters who came by. I was pretty excited to meet Paolo and see Alessia Lannetti at the opening. I was surrounded by lovely people and amazingly talented artists.
I have so much to share and learn and give thanks to this trip!
I hope that my artwork can bring as much joy to Rome as Rome brought to me. If anyone would like to contact the gallery to enquire about making one of my paintings all their own to love and cherish please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Camilla has been painting up a storm for her new “Submerged” Exhibition opening at Dorothy Circus Gallery in Rome, March 31th! Camilla has a collection of 6 new paintings underway. Let’s take a look at some of their progress.
This new painting, “Fishbowl”, includes Camilla’s first ever Seabunny to appear in one of her paintings! Have you seen Seabunnies before? Google them! You won’t regret it!
We can see clues on Camilla’s palette that she was working on “Ajna”. Camilla and Dorothy Circus Gallery revealed the final image for Ajna recently. Camilla shares some thoughts about “Ajna”:
This painting is all about human perception and our role in nature. I believe we are as much as part of the earth as all the other fauna and animals, yet we don’t always see it. We need to open our third eye and truly appreciate what we are a part of and how we affect the planet. The colors of her eyes are secondary colors because we tend to put the earth’s life second to our needs. I believe human beings are amazing and capable of so much. Our greatest assets are compassion and intelligence which is why I wanted to show so much emotion in her. Earth is a beautiful world that is rich in color and life that should be treasured!
Camilla’s painting “Capuchina” has been revealed! These colorful skulls are a playful take on a usually macabre subject.
Camilla will be unveiling a new, large size oil painting, “La Madre” for Submerged exhibition. This piece measures 20×24″, larger than many of Camilla’s contemporary artworks. She will be a show-stopper for sure!

Camilla’s Masquerade Solo Exhibition collection is on view at Haven Gallery in Newport, NY! View Camilla’s body of work in person until November 27th, and online here.
Northport, NY–Haven Gallery is honored to present “Masquerade” a solo exhibition of new paintings and drawings by Canadian artist Camilla d’Errico. “Masquerade” is d’Errico’s first solo show with the gallery and will include eight paintings and eight drawings and 3 framed palettes. “Masquerade” is a distinctively exciting body of work featuring the artist’s quintessentially expressive, anime inspired gamines playfully hiding behind a series of animal and fantasy inspired disguises. The portraits featured in “Masquerade” are surrealistically rendered yet sensibly calculated to reveal the emotional complexities and idiosyncrasies of both d’Errico and the soul present in each and every one of us.
Appearing jovial and lighthearted upon first glance, d’Errico’s archetypally endearing girls may hark back to the nostalgia of our childhood and to our grand sense of imagination as minors. Yet in contrast, looking closer, the many masks and identities we must take on as adults in various aspects of our lives echoes strongly through d’Errico’s use of suggestive facial expressions and gesticulations. A predominant emotion of pensive contemplation can be noted through prolifically parted lips and reflective hand gestures capturing a brief moment of vulnerability and inquisition we so often encounter through our psychological and physiological evolutions.
“Masquerade” plays with the viewer through a paradoxical juxtaposition of reality and fantasy. By combining elements of emotion, pattern and pop culture, d’Errico subtly comments on the amalgamation of influences and personalities unique to each of us as individuals. Despite this masquerade, our many layers and individuality may not be sequestered entirely. d’Errico’s eponymous kaleidoscopic pools of color and drips may attest to the complexity and uniqueness that make up our person. These specific striations and patterns brilliantly capture our attention just as quickly as the visual acumen of each mask which in this case, may echo d’Errico’s own wellsprings of inspiration. Homages to anime and manga, American comics, mythology and folklore are readily apparent through the use of tongue-in-cheek titles and notable influences commonly referenced through d’Errico’s seasoned career as a fine artist. “Masquerade” plays with our personal stimuli as they shape our discrete souls. Who we wish to be may already be a part of who we are or who we will be one day.
