Hi guys! I’m Tasha, Camilla’s operations coordinator- her helper and executive llama extraordinaire. I get to share the cool news and projects Camilla works on here on the blog, and we’d like to share a Camilla project I’ve put together. I’ve hand-painted one of Camilla’s No Ordinary Love statues in a different colorway I’m calling “Attempted Murder”, patterned after Camilla’s painting “Aida”.
I’ve repainted the statue from top to bottom in the new palette, with little sculpted mice and eggs in her hair. The original No Ordinary Love statues are Blue & White – even the white crows have blue tinting in them.
Camilla is an amazing artist and mentor, and it’s a pleasure to get to share how her work inspires the painting I do. This one-of-a-kind colourway will be with me at my Designer Con booth #911 in Pasadena this weekend, November 8-9 at the Pasadena Convention Center. If you’re in the area, swing by and say Hi!
If you haven’t collected your own No Ordinary Love statue yet, we have a few here on The Camilla Store. Does Camilla inspire you to make new artwork too? Show us at info@camilladerrico.com !
The Camilla team have been working hard on redesigning and relaunching Camilla’s website and eStore. Camilla’s new site features easy to navigate Image Galleries, a functional Calendar of Events, and a brand new eStore. Our Camilla eStore Shipping Team are pleased to announce that we have switched postal services to a more economical option – USPS First Class shipping. Previously, Priority Shipping was the only option that would allow for Tracking #s for shipments. Now USPS has ammended First Class shipping to include tracking numbers.
