San Diego Comic Con 2019!!

I am so unbelievably excited you guys! Words cannot describe… SAN DIEGO COMIC CON BABY! It’s just over a week away – July 17th-21st – and it’s the 50th Anniversary of the show! Can you believe it?! Because I can’t! And I’ve been going almost half the life of the show – 22 years! And because the show has been so good to me – and you the fans have always been SO amazing – I have some great gifties in store for the show!

You can find me at the same booth as always: BOOTH #4723!! I made some handy maps for ya since the con centre so vast.

I’ve got brand-new clothing designs, OAK jewelry, original paintings, new pins, OAK totes, pop culture bees, my Pop Manga Drawing, The Zodiac art book, zodiac art prints, zodiac bees, some really awesome SDCC 2019 Exclusives, and so much more!! Absolutely everything will be available at my booth #4723.

Exclusives first!! I’m so excited for all of these – you have no idea. First up: my Stan Lee commemorative SDCC® Officially Licensed – SDCC 2019 Limited Edition 16×20 foil stamp print! I call him “Stan Bee”.

He is coloured by the talented Lime Town Studios and there will only be 50 of him available. So come early!

Lets keep the cute bee theme going and talk about my SDCC® officially licensed – SDCC 2019 Exclusive Limited Edition Pins! Say hello to “George Blueney” – he’s adorable, sparkly, and limited to 100 pieces.

You all should know my love of Sailor Moon by now. And if you don’t – well you will soon. I decided this year for SDCC I would bring my love of bees and my all time favourite OTP (one-true-pairing) Princess Serenity and Prince Endymion together! So here they are: my SDCC® officially licensed – SDCC 2019 Exclusive Limited Edition “Prince and Moon” pin set. This couple is limited to 100 set pieces. So make sure not to miss out!

Next up are my SDCC® officially licensed – SDCC 2019 Exclusive Limited Edition Kimonos! And you guessed it – I’ve got more Sailor Moon for you! “Moonflower” will be an SDCC Exclusive Limited Edition Kimono of 70 pieces! She’s a shorter kimono than the one I released previously on my Etsy shop, but she’s sporty and fun! She’s made of feather fabric that’s very breathable so you’ll be able to beat the California heat!

My last exclusive is my Leo kimono. My zodiac painting “Leo” will be an SDCC Exclusive Limited Edition kimono of 100 pieces! She’s made of gorgeous chiffon and is so breezy and elegant! All my kimonos are made by EcoDigiTec in BC, Canada.

If you like my zodiac – get ready! You’ll be able to get my Zodiac Bees – the Buzziacs – for the first time ever at a convention at SDCC 2019!

They will be available as both mini prints (in very limited quantities) and sticker sheet sets: you get all the signs as cute little weather-proof vinyl stickers.

Next on the zodiac: my newest art book The Zodiac will be available, along with prints of ALL my zodiac ladies!

You can get the book which collects all 12 of my girls from my Zodiac show at the Haven Gallery as well as 12 pieces from Travis Louie’s “Animals That I’ve Known” show. And I’d love to sign any of my prints or books for you lovelies – at no charge!

And last – but not least on the zodiac train – my Aquarius purse!

She is limited to 25 pieces. Made of neoprene – scuba material – so she’s weather resistant. And she’s cruelty free! Vegan leather. No animals hurt here baby! These purses are super spacious and machine washable. So they are an everyday kind of purse.

Are you all still with me? I hope so! Because I’ve still got more for you!

My Aria busts from APPortfolio are making an appearance. But there will only be three of them at the show – so make sure to come early so you don’t miss out.

I’ll have a handful of one-of a kind handmade jewelry: necklaces, brooches and keychains.

As well as original paintings, one-of-a-kind drawings, giveaways, mystery bundles and oodles more!

I can’t wait to see all your smiling faces! So stop by to say hi, snatch up my exclusives and limited editions before they are gone, get a picture or an autograph – I’m here for you!

See you all July 17th – 21st at Booth #4723 at the San Diego convention centre!

SDCC 2018 Coniversary Retrospective

Thank you San Diego for an amazing 20th Coniversary! I celebrated my 20th year at Comic Con with a kick-butt weekend of signing, new artwork, and fun times with my crew! Booth 4723 was poppin with visitors and I was signing it up. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and collected new books, artwork, Coniversary bags and goodies!

A small handful of limited edition Coniversary bags and some other goodies are going to release on Etsy in August. So keep your peepers peeled! You can sign up for newsletter updates on releases here.

So this happened! The whole crew and I were Kitty-tittying it up at the hotel pool post-show. Rockin those kitties on custom apparel! These bad boys were crew editions, but you can find other apparel from Liveheroes Here.

I miss beautiful San Diego already! I can hardly wait to come back for more signings, live painting demos at Holbein booth, Comic Con shenanigans and San Diego’s amazing sights next July!

San Diego Comic Con Goodies Preview

It’s almost here! I’m so excited to show all you lovelies all of the lovely goodies I’ve been working on to bring to San Diego Comic Con! I’m coming back to my same booth location 4723, so come find me in the Fantasy Illustrator section. Here’s a handy-dandy map!

I’ve been focusing a lot on one-of, limited and small run goodies and apparel. And I’m bringing lots of it to booth 4723! I’ll have a handful of pieces from my LiveHeroes apparel collection, like these.

I’m also bringing mugs to SDCC! I’ll have 2 different designs of full-color print mugs, like these “Arachnia” ones. Isn’t she gorgeous! You can get one at booth 4723. 🙂

I’m bringing coaster sets and socks to SDCC booth 4723! You can mix and match 4 coasters to a set, but quantities are limited so come pick your favorites early in the show! The socks are super pretty too, each pair is all-over-print and super comfy. There’s 4 different designs to choose from, or you could get the whole set!

Totes totes totes! I’ve made a bunch of 1-of tote designs and colorways for my booth 4723! Each one is double-sided printing with a colored handle, and lots of them have zippers! They’re machine washable, so don’t be afraid to use them every day and freshen them up in the wash!

Is your pin game strong! It can be with the new Tuttleina and Rainbuns hard enamel pins I’m bringing to SDCC! These lovelies are polished hard enamel with a smooth surface, and locking pin backings on the back, so they won’t fall off your favorite bag or cardigan, or where ever you like to pin your treasures!

I’ve also got a big beautiful collection of printed vintage plates coming to SDCC! Each plate is truly one-of-a-kind and can’t be reproduced the same way. They make amazing wall decorations or additions to your curio cabinet, or anywhere you’d like to display a unique treasure!

I’ve got lots of new and unique plates for the show, so I’m going to bring new designs every day to booth 4723! Come check them out and be sure to visit on different days to find your new favorites. I’m also doing something fun and new this year! I’ve made 3 original drawings on Shikishi boards and I’m going to raffle them to supporters who purchase new goodies from my booth 4723.

I’ll give raffle tickets to supporters and have daily drawings on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. So if you’re at the show and you purchase from my booth on Wednesday Preview night, I’ll give you a raffle ticket for the Thursday evening drawing. It’s going to be so much fun! I’ll draw raffle tickets on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, so to be eligible you need to be at my booth 4723 in person at the end of the day (the exhibition hall closes 7pm). I’ll see you lovelies there, and thank you in advance for your support for my art!

San Diego Comic Con Part 3 Events

It’s coming up fast! Next week San Diego Comic Con will be upon us, and I’ve got fun events planned during the show. I’ll have a booth again at booth#4723 in the Fantasy Illustrator section, so come visit me there to get your books and prints signed, and check out all my awesome goodies!

I’ll be signing alongside Simone Legno, creator of tokidoki who contributed the forward to Femina & Fauna 2nd Ed! We’ll be signing a special SDCC event-only print featuring my artwork ‘Black Rabbit Kaleidoscope’ and Simone’s painting image ‘Selfie’, and signing copies of Femina & Fauna purchased at the show. I hope to see you there, and don’t be shy to ask to take a photo together! 😉

Save The Bees With Art Panel

I’m teaming up with some amazing partners to present a totally unique and super fun panel this year at SDCC! On Friday July 21 from 2-3pm, you can come to my “Save The Bees With Art” panel in Room 2. I’m bringing coloring book pages for everyone from my book Pop Manga Coloring Book and some crayons for if you’d like to color along during the panel! I’m also bringing postcards of my Lemon Drop painting to give out to great question askers during the panel!

I’ll be joined by my friend and art colleague J*Ryu who will be moderating, and Planet Bee Foundation co-founder Debra Tomaszewski, who will be bringing goodies sponsored by Marin Bee Company to give out to great question askers. Planet Bee Foundation are my new partners in conservation efforts to educate and share art and help foster responsible eco-friendly stewardship for our bee populations! The panel will also feature a representative from Holbein, which is the company that makes my favorite Duo Aqua water soluble oil paints! They’ll be giving some Holbein paint samples out during the panel to good question askers too, so if you’ve wondered about how water-soluble oils work and how they’re environmentally friendly, this is a great time to ask!

I’m also returning to Holbein booth 5104 on Saturday, July 22, to do a live painting demonstration from 10-11am! I’ll be working on a brand new painting and demoing Holbein Duo Aqua water soluble oil paints, the same ones I use in my book Pop Painting! This is an awesome opportunity to see my techniques in action, and ask about how I make my paintings, so come watch on Saturday Jul 22 from 10-11am at booth 5104!

Live Painting from ECCC 2016

San Diego Comic Con Part 1

I’m so excited to be returning to San Diego Comic Con! My booth is #4723 in the Fantasy Illustrator section, and I’m bringing lots of original artwork with me this year.

I’ve created a new original painting collection I call “Surreal Safari”, these petite oil paintings range in size from 3.5″ to 4×6″ and 5×7″. They’re an awesome way for new collectors to add an original painting to their collections, since petite paintings range in prices from $450-750+usd

I call this little cutie “Pinkie Pie”, inspired by the awesome Axolotl- they’re a amazing part of the natural world! “Pinkie Pie” is coming to San Diego Comic Con at my booth 4723 where I’ll also have prints, but if you can’t make it to the show, you can pick up a print here.

Another amazing creature I discovered this year is the Seabunny- seriously, if you’ve never heard of one, google search ‘Seabunny’ and you won’t regret it! I knew when I saw photos that I had to paint a rainbow one, so here is “Seabuns” for my Surreal Safari collection! Seanbuns will debut at booth 4723 alongside these other cute critters.

I’ve also been working on my Dorian Gray portrait to get him ready in time to join the Surreal Safari at SDCC booth 4723! He’s inspired by my favorite Oscar Wilde story, and if you’ve never read it, I highly recommend checking it out!

I’m also bringing original drawings to my booth 4723 at SDCC! I have a collection of framed 5×7″ graphite drawings I made during my travels in Europe, and I’ve been holding them for a special release. If you’re coming to the show, definitely visit early because each one is one of a kind, and once it finds a home, it’s gone baby gone!

I’m also making original artwork a part of my fan appreciation at SDCC booth 4723 for fans supporting my artwork at the show! I’m going to raffle original sketches on shikishi boards during the con, so come visit me at booth 4723 for a raffle ticket with your lovely new art goodies! I have lots more announcements for SDCC this year so stay tuned everyone!
