Back from Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle! The convention went really well and people loved Tanpopo. I also had some sketchbooks from the videogame/comic book I’m working on called Billy Boom Boom. The sketchbook is available on my online store too.
I’ve got this coming up weekend to relax, and in fact I’ll be leaving Vancouver for the Easter long weekend, and going home for some big Easter dinners and chocolate bunnies. I’ll need my R&R because I’m gearing up for the Portland Signing Event on the 16th.
This coming Friday, April 10th, at Myplasticheart in New York, I’ll have a new piece in the Zodiac show. The show is a multi media show from a wide variety of artists and it is centered around the Chinese Zodiac. Since I promised a preview of my piece in my last blog, here it is … this is a crop, I can’t show the whole piece, but if you can imagine the dragon bigger and longer across the 8×24 panel, with its tail flowing away … you get the picture!
Then on Saturday the 11th, Gallery Nucleus will be holding a gallery show to launch the much anticipated Grafuck, Vol. 4! Since I am part of the artbook, I also contributed some art to the show, one original piece that has yet to find a home and two original panels from the Nightmares & Fairytales comic. This is the official press release:
That’s it from me for this week! I’ll be updating about the Portland release party with pics of the merchandise, details about the art print and more Tanpopo!
