Even though I’m in the middle of packing my house and moving, trying to finish my black and white paintings for the G88 show, and working on a couple of covers, I’ve also been planning my very first Wondercon!

Wondercon is at the Moscone Center South, San Francisco. Get directions here. And here are the opening and closing times:

12 Noon – 7 PM

10 AM – 7 PM

11 AM – 5 PM

I’ll have two tables at Wondercon, in artist’s alley – Tables 85 & 86.  I’ve never exhibited at Wondercon, but APE Con last November went so well that I just had to come back to San Francisco. Besides, last year I didn’t make it, so this year I’m here with a vengeance.

I’ve got a few new prints available, like Sorceress, Glow Worm, Burn Moth, and Blueberry sucker:

I am also extremely excited to have the new Tanpopo Book available! The new Tanpopo has 12 new pages of illustrations and the story takes a different turn from the original and with a little twist to the plot as well!  40 pages full color, this book is larger than a standard manga, measuring 6.5″ x 9.75″.

And – this is my favorite thing – I have a plushy!! I’ll be taking pre-orders on this plushy. It’s Kuro, the black devil, or dog, from the Tanpopo story. He is sooo cute, round, chubby and cuddly! Here is a first take of what he looks like:

I will also be signing at the SLG Booth every day from 2 to 3 pm for Nightmares and Fairytales. The trade paperback is avaiable, so come out to get yours!

I hope I’m not forgetting anythin g, but even if I am it’ll just make for a good surprise!

See you soon San Francisco!

  1. Hi, Camilla!

You probably don’t remember me, but I met you at APE 2007 and 2008. And I’ll be at WonderCon this weekend. My friend, Myk, also has a booth in the Artists’ Alley–AA127. I’ll be sure to drop by with a cheery “hi!”

By the way, be careful of fake $20s; several stores in downtown SF have been hit with these counterfeit bills, including the restaurant (Sanraku in the Metreon) that I work in.

Good luck and I hope to see you there! Mai “May” ( o^ _ ^o )

  2. I just finished reading Tanpopo and I loved it. I bought it at Wondercom this weekend and been fascinated by it ever since.

Good luck on your gallery opening this weekend. I can’t wait to check out the show.
